Tuesday's Tip of the Day: Storing Fresh Herbs
I absolutely love fresh herbs, but often find it hard to use them before they turn. One sure way to help prolong their shelf life, is by loosely wrapping them in damp paper towels. This helps to keep the herbs hydrated and “perky,” for lack of a better word. You can store the wrapped bundles of herbs in a large ziplock bag but don’t seal the top so they can breathe. There is nothing better than fresh herbs so go ahead and buy a few now that you have this handy tip up your sleeve.
Cheers to starting a new tradition around the table together!
