Pronto Whipping Cream | Tuesdays Tip of the Day!
When supper turns into “I need a little something sweet” whip up (pun intended) fresh whipped cream to dollop, adorn or laden. Regardless of just how sweet that sweet-tooth is, follow these quick steps to whip up a batch in a jiffy!
Step one: While you are nearing that “something sweet craving”, pop a large metal bowl and whisk in your freezer. Keep heavy whipping cream in the fridge until just before you get your whisking on!
Step two: Remove bowl and whisk from the freezer, add desired amount of whipping cream (remember – before you get carried away – you have to turn that liquid state into velvety smooth whipped cream by hand) and start whisking. Before you know it, soft peaks will come to fruition and whipping cream is formed! In the last few strokes (whisks), add a splash (1 teaspoon) of vanilla extract and tablespoon or so of powdered sugar (if desired). Be careful to not overmix, unless you want butter which is a whole other blog post.
And just like that friends, freshly made whipping cream is at your finger tips! For recipes perfect for “dolloping” like All-American Apple Pie, Peach Cobbler or Blueberry-Peach Crumble, or even Maple Whipping Cream, visit my website thetabletogether.com.
