Uses for Excess Bacon Fat | Tuesday's Tip of the Day!
Before tossing or using paper towels to “mop up” that excess bacon fat from your skillet, consider all of the tremendous potentials for its use down the road. Okay, you may not have a need for it now, but what about a delicious bacon vinaigrette or even using it to sauté veggies?
Either store in designated ice cube trays in the freezer for up to 3 months or in a small container fitted with a lid in your refrigerator for up to 1 – 2 weeks. As desired, take what you need and cook or whisk (think vinaigrettes) to your hearts content…even when you don’t have bacon on hand!
