Coring Pears | Tuesday's Tip of the Day!
There is nothing sweeter, more satisfying and delicious than a perfectly ripe pear. With numerous varieties to choose from (Check tomorrow’s Wednesday’s in The Know tab for a full overview), understanding how to quickly core a pear could come in handy, especially if it means you can eat them faster!
After washing your hands, thoroughly clean the pear under cold running water. Place the pear on your cutting board and cut straight through the middle (lengthwise) from top (stem tip) to bottom (stem core). Using a small coffee spoon, or better yet, melon baller, gently scoop and discard the core and seeds. And just like that, you have a perfectly ripe pear prime for eating.
