Key Lime Pie Milkshake
Key Lime Pie Milkshake
One of my all-time favorite desserts is my mom’s key lime pie but when I don’t feel like baking, this comes in a close second. Finish with fresh whipping cream and dusting of graham cracker crumbs and you would never know the difference. Like I needed any justification in the first place!!!
Yield: 2 servings
Oven: N/A
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: N/A
5 scoops vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt – see kitchen note
2 tablespoons key lime juice, either freshly squeezed or Nellie and Joe's Key Lime Juice – see kitchen note
1/2 cup low fat milk or almond milk
Method:
1. In a blender, add ice cream, key lime juice and milk. Blend until smooth adding more key lime juice if desired.
2. Divide between two glasses and enjoy while cold!
Kitchen Note: Use more or less ice cream depending on desired consistency and “richness.”
I never squeeze my own key limes as quite frankly, they are hard to find and can be expensive! Nellie and Joe’s is my go to and can be found in most grocery stores.
