Parmesan Crisps
Parmesan Crisps
The best thing about Parmesan crisps, is that they take 5 minutes to make and look like they took all day! If your guests only knew, they would be making them too!!! It’s okay, your secret is safe with me.
Yield: 12 crisps
Oven: 400ºF
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 7 – 8 minutes
1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Method:
1. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
2. On a baking sheet lined with a silimat or parchment paper, add 1 tablespoon of freshly grated Parmesan in a small thin mound to form a circle. Evenly space 12, 1 tablespoon portions of grated Parmesan cheese around the baking sheet leaving 1 – 2 inches from one to the next.
3. Place in preheated 400ºF oven and allow to bake until flat, golden in color and crispy, approximately 7 – 8 minutes. NOTE: they will get crispier as they cool.
Kitchen Note: Parmesan crisps make for a beautiful garnish for soups, salads and even risotto! If you prefer larger crisps, simply make your mounds larger noting that cooking times will change.
