Cranberry Cream Cheese Spread
Cranberry Cream Cheese Spread
The day after Thanksgiving, I often find myself making a turkey wrap with cranberry cream cheese spread. The leftover cranberry sauce adds a nice tangy sweetness, which pairs perfectly with the creaminess from the cream cheese.
Yield: 8-ounces
Oven: N/A
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: N/A
1 package (8-ounces) low-fat or full fat plain cream cheese, room temperature
1/4 cup leftover cranberry sauce
Method:
1. In a food processor fitted with a blade attachment, or alternatively in a bowl with a whisk, combine softened cream cheese, cranberry sauce and honey until smooth.
2. Transfer to an airtight container and allow to refrigerator until cold, approximately 2 – 4 hours before serving.
Kitchen Note: Consider adding chopped walnuts or pecans for a little textural difference to each bite. Also, if you would like to add a little sweetness, start with 1 tablespoon of honey and go from there.
