Ham Wrap with Havarti and Avocado
Ham Wrap with Havarti and Avocado
When you are looking for a quick, healthy and delicious lunch on the go, never underestimate the power of a wrap. This wrap has ham and Havarti, my favorite combination, but they can easily be swapped for a vegetarian option with cucumber, carrots and bell peppers or any other protein. The best part, is that wraps can easily use leftovers taking lunchtime to another level!
Yield: 4 servings
Oven: N/A
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: N/A
1/4 cup 2% plain or Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon honey mustard
4 medium size flour tortillas, best quality possible
1/2 pound freshly sliced ham, from the deli counter
4 thin slices Havarti cheese, from the deli counter
1 yellow onion, thinly sliced
1 small head organic green leaf lettuce, leaves torn
1 avocado, pit removed, thinly sliced
Method:
1. In a small bowl, add yogurt and honey mustard stirring until combined.
2. In the middle of each tortilla, add a portion of the yogurt mixture, ham, Havarti cheese, onion, lettuce, and avocado.
3. Fold up the bottom then tuck in the sides rolling from bottom to top like a burrito. Cut in half and serve immediately.
Kitchen Note: Mayo can be substituted for the Greek yogurt and less or more honey mustard can be used depending on desired “spiciness.”
